Advertising and Branding Communities Recognize Agency’s Outstanding Creative

SAN FRANCISCO - March 28, 2006 - Loomis Group, an independent, integrated marketing agency, announced today that it was honored with Gold and Silver ADDY® Awards from the American Advertising Federation. The agency also won American Corporate Identity Awards for two corporate logos.

The American Advertising Federation ADDY Awards
The local ADDY Awards, distributed through the Greater San Francisco Ad Club, are the first step in a three-level, national competition. Loomis Group won a Gold ADDY in the Collateral Material category for client Zephyr Ventilations' luxury range hood brochure. In addition, the agency earned a Silver ADDY in the Direct Marketing, Consumer category for a Valentine's direct mail promotion developed for high-end chocolatier Recchiuti Confections.

The Zephyr Ventilation brochure captures the company's range of designs by featuring the products as art pieces rather than simple appliances. The four-color booklet offers an introduction to renowned kitchen and bath designer Fu-Tung Cheng followed by images of his unique creations combined with natural elements

When client Recchiuti Confections wanted to attract consumers during Valentine's Day 2005, it looked to Loomis Group to conceive an eye-catching direct mailer. The work resulted in four postcards portraying chocolate as jewelry worn by alluring female models. This untraditional approach to advertising sweets captured the human desire for chocolate and elevated Recchiuti's brand to a new level. As a result of the direct mailer, Recchiuti saw a spike in Web retail performance.

Judges for the ADDY Awards scored each entry on a scale of one to 100. Scores were later tallied to determine an average number and category. For example, an average of 85 to 100 earns a Gold ADDY. Sponsored by the American Advertising Federation (AAF), the ADDY Awards are the advertising industry's largest competition, recognizing creative excellence and the best advertising worldwide. The national competition includes 60,000 entries.

The American Corporate Identity Awards
Loomis Group's Plantronics Connect and 4Medica logos were among 4,000 submissions and two of the 250 designs chosen for the national American Corporate Identity Awards, which recognize distinction in the field of corporate identity design. The Plantronics Connect logo was a part of Loomis Group's rebranding campaign for the company's expansive channel partner program. Past winners include AT&T and FedEx. The agency's timeless logo concepts will be part of a 300-plus page book titled “American Corporate Identity 2007” distributed by HarperCollins International in more than 50 countries around the world.
